I just bought a tractor in TN and need it trucked to NY. Does anybody have any of the numbers or web sites for trucking? I think it is $1.50 to $1.75 a mile. And this is over 900 miles so it will hurt.

Try doing a search on here for it. I am certain I read a thread a few weeks back about a shipper out of Tennessee. You might also look on ebay. Some of the people selling tractors have shippers contact them offering to ship tractors for buyers.

fuel prices are killing it.
when i was looking (i also bought one out of TN) i was ballparked at $3 a mile which i thought was outragous.
so i called in a few favors and got a friend lined up with a truck and trailer and we are going to get it.
