This used listing for a Kioti CK20 with BH and other attachments is a real deal if it isn't a scam. It's listed in Dover, MA which is an upscale community and just possibly someone is not aware that it is worth at least several K more than the $8200 asking price. KIOTI CK2 TRACTOR WITH BACKHOE, SNOW PLOW AND ROCK PICK FOR BUCKET It lists a MA phone number, not something in Nigeria so it could be valid. It was probably bought at the same Kioti dealer I bought my CK20 from in Harvard, MA but they are no longer Kioti dealers. No trouble with service or parts though as Bobcat dealers sold an identical tractor with white paint and still service them.

The CK20 is a very capable tractor similar to the Kubota B series but heavier and with a more capable loader. From the look of the loader style (KL120) it is a pre 2008 model but it looks to be in good shape. It is priced lower than a BX TLB and would do twice the work.

Looks too good to be true to me too... and it has been on 4 days.. seems hard to believe that. that is easily $12k depending on the hours, is it not?

Easily $12K. Compare it to any BX23/24/25 listed on CL all of which will cost at least that much. The CK20 is considerably more tractor. Wish I still had mine.

As I noted, it just might be a scam but the community it is listed in is a landed green ritzy suburb of Boston and the phone number listed matches as a MA number so it just might be real. Four days on CL doesn't bother me as this isn't exactly an area where many folks use CUTs so not much demand. I'd guess it is the original owner selling who probably bought it 8-9 years ago and that he just figures it has depreciated. It was probably about $15-16K new with BH but of course you cannot touch anything in that class for such a price these days.

If anyone is really interested let me know. It's only 15 miles or so away and I used to own one so know the CK20 TLB well.

There are exceptions, probably dependent on dealer.

In the spring of 2013 I was shopping for a tractor. Deere dealer gave me a price and said 0% financing was available. I asked what the cash price was. Reply was "the same"! Still scratching my head over that one.

Ended up being a mute point as Deere could not deliver the tractor I wanted when I wanted it. Ended up with something else.

We got a similar answer from a JD dealer once about financed price and cash price. After laughing right in the mans face I haven't considered a JD seriously since. I did get to talk with the manager that day as well and got a real cash price before all was said and done but it still was too much for the machine when everything was considered.

Have spoken to her about the tractor. She approves of getting one, but wants nothing to do with it. Tried convincing her she might end up wanting or needing to use it sometime, but she said NOPE!

So i am getting an HST anyway, in case the need arises. She does not drive manual trans, and i doubt a tractor would be the place to start.
She sounds like my wife. No way is she getting on even a lawn tractor or using even a push mower. If I am unable to do the lawn,(like when I worked out of the country for 8 weeks at a time) she knows how to find a lawn care person to do the work.
One of her daughters is not afraid to tackle any thing and actually uses their Kubota B2630 more than her husband. She could change a tire or change oil if needed in her car. Tools are used more by her than her husband (she wanted and I got her a scroll saw for Christmas). Of the 5 kids, if I were to leave my tractors(and my guns) to anyone, it would be her.

"Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom." Between social media, reality TV and the liberal left, "Common Sense" is not so COMMON among our youth today. However...there are still some of us who can see beyond the fog and insure our kids will have a future! There's no doubt in my mind your daughter will go far in life!!!

Thanks, BigBoyToys. She is planning on becoming a doctor. Just almost finished her first year of university, and it looks like it will be straight As with maybe one or two A pluses. Makes a Dad very proud!

After a couple months of shopping, I went with a Branson. I have 17 acres, mostly wooded with some special situations that I needed a backhoe to handle. I am very pleased with my choice.

There are not as many Branson dealers as I wish but from a value for money perspective, I am extremely happy with my choice.

Tractors are pretty much commodity items these days. Almost all are very reliable and use essentially the same design. I'm not ready to embrace the Chinese ones yet but Japanese, Korean and Indian companies all put out very good products.

Kubota and JD have a more convenient dealer network but you pay considerably more for the convenience. I've never had to do anything but pick up the phone and wait a couple days for the UPS guy to deliver supplies and parts. I probably wouldn't have made it to a local dealer in that time so I don't feel the least disadvantaged. The well known value brands give an excellent bang for the buck so long as you feel comfortable doing service and minor maintenance yourself. Major maintenance is so uncommonly needed with modern CUTs that the risk of needing to trailer a tractor 100 miles is negligible. Mine has been on an island for eight years, never needed to take it off.

Your post here is right where I am now. After reading some other posts I wonder if I should consider a z-turn but potential wet areas and such could be an issue. I think I will stick with the MMM. Getting ready to pull the trigger on the XJ2025. Only concern is the comments I read about the 2 speed HST

Quick update. I visited the yanmar dealership and was impressed with the 324/424, and also impressed with the dealership. Seems like good people. The dealer told me that there will be an upgrade available from yanmar in may/june to add a rear diff lock to the tractor. The lack of a diff lock was a major drawback for me for these models, so with that feature i think it checks off most of the other boxes. Even though the quoted price seems high compared to online prices, the 324 still comes out as the cheapest of the brands/models im comparing.

So when i want to make the purchase, prob late may or early june, i will ask for their best price and seriously consider the yanmar. I like the LS xj2025h best overall but unless i can get a better financing deal it might not work out for me. The yanmars seem like good machines.

Lastly i decided i need a rake instead of a grading blade for driveway maintenance. The yanmar dealer also highly recommended industrial tires over turf, which is the opposite of what I've heard from others. He emphasized the need for industrials if I will be doing a lot of loader work, which i intend to do.
