Thanks bmaverick I am curious to what model that tractor and tiller is and how much it is too.

Good luck on your crop planting!!

And I agree with the extra hours on that rebuild, just a little to fresh for me, especially at that price

Next time I'm heading west I'll know. T-storms right now.

Also in a state with stay-at-home lock-down till the end of the month. not fun. but, I could side-step that way as we are in the country. Oddly, the local police and sheriff dept are using DRONES for patrols. 2X a day we see them along the roadways. Not your average hobby drones either. These things can move and last a long time in the sky. Reminds me of those Ag drones that can fly an entire county mentioned in the news last year.

I forgot that some states are using law enforcement to enforce the quarantine. Here in Nebraska they are not being so extreme. No worries just let me know.

Thanks and be safe

I do have a 155D with front loader and small aftermarket 3 pt backhoe that is modified to attach to frame. It is a bit rough and i rebuilt the engine back in 2005? with help from people here.
I try to attach a couple pics. I am not interested in selling. But glad to hear others still working them.

Nice looking setup! I love the one I have, it is just the tractor with a few implements and serves me well. If you are ever in the mood to sell, let me know! And yes the people on here are very helpful.

Well I might have found a tractor. I have been looking for a 2 cylinder because that is what I like, however I did find a 1510d with a loader. So Power Shift and 3 cylinder, it is a VN referb, but looks great, only drawback is the price and location. More than I want to pay at $6,400 but it does look like new again and supposedly has been gone through very well. Power shift would be nice with the loader just wish it was a quick detach loader or bucket too. What do you guys and gals think? 2 vs 3 cylinder and VN referb.. I know the VN referbs have come a long way since they were first doing them and lot of folks here have them. 1510d.jpg

I love my YM186D, the US version of YM1510D.

For my orchard that is all uphill/downhill, avoiding making a full stop to shift then start uphill in a lower gear is a huge advantage. Also the ability to start in a lower gear then shift up while moving makes up most of the lesser hp compared to the YM240, because that one needs to start uphill in a lower gear than would be suitable after it gets moving. Overall the YM186D is more productive. That last top-end hp of the larger tractor is simply not needed in my application because the YM186D's gearing takes the place of it.

Price? $6,400 is pretty rich. These are real classics that deserve a premium price so if it checks out flawless that might be worth it. More typical would be to find one with some obvious flaws in cosmetics or some repairs needed, for under $4,000~$5,000. These are, after all, nearly 40 years old.

Photo, my first and then second YM186D's: 1) $2,500, no loader and obviously needed the steering box replaced. And 2) $4,500 asking price with loader and power steering. I got a better price on the second one only because the guy was in a total panic, he needed cash right now to get his truck fixed and get back to earning a living. It would have sold for $4,500 if he wrote a better CL ad than just 'Tractor, $1' and if he didn't sell it for the first offer.

I thought the ym186d was the US version of the 1510d. My 2210d has the power shift and I love it for all the same reasons you described California, and when I am using my tiller as I can have it running before I even start moving.

Yes $6400 is a bit rich and I would like to find one cheaper with a few flaws, I am not apposed to that at all, however around my area they are scarce.

Was able to talk with the owner of the YM155D. She's not parting with it. It's her only tractor for tilling the open air green house (think large hoop house 2-stories tall, each end open). The YM155D is in 'fair' shape, meaning it runs and has quirky issues. The kingpin on the RT front of the 4WD was replaced a few years ago with parts from Hoye. The rear of the machine leaks fluids in a weeping manor, thus it will need tons of degreaser. The haven't changed the oil in it for over 8 years as its a diesel and is used only seasonally.
