Looking to buy JD D130

What would one expect to pay for a 1997 GT262? 17 HP Kaw, 48" deck, 6 speed. Supposedly in nice shape. Not sure if I can find the time to go look at it, but if I do... guy is asking 1250.00. Big thing with this is not the original owner, so very little of its history is known.

I will usually look a used item over carefully myself and make the decision. Since you are handy with maintenance I say use your best judgement to decide on what to buy and what to pass on. Hope it works out for you.

I think I did okay. Brought it home last night. I knew I would buy it the second I saw it, but pulled the deck checked all the spindles, put it back on, mowed the guys back yard with it, checked all the fluids of course, air filter, plug, etc. Well maintained. In really nice shape, seems to have very low hours based on the condition. Appears that it has led a pretty pampered life so far.

This will last me a very long time.

I don't think I could get anything new close to the same durability as this, considering what I paid.
