300- 400 lbs between the two is something I would call significant, especially when you use apprx 1000 Lbs as the base..... Sounds like a 30-40 % difference to me. I'd call one a lot 'weaker' than the other.

Had a 35 hp, dk Kioti with loader,4/wd drive,diesel,sold it, bought used Branson 2910i and I must say the Branson's rear-end does not come off ground with heavy load like the Kioti, but the Kioti was good,just seemed to lack the power of Branson after I had operated both. I have a friend who has a Mahindra says he wouldn't own any other. I also own a 1982 18 hp,4wd,diesel Mitsubishi beaver 3 and have had less trouble with it than the other 2 tractors, of course it has no bucket,but it is a work horse. Growing up we used Fords, they are great,but with just 5 acres it doesn't justify the cost. You are going to love what ever tractor you choose, there is nothing better than owning a tractor with a bucket, I put a grapple thumb on mine,I can pick up a piece of tin,or a board. My Branson is down right now,I am replacing the PTO Shaft I sheared off ,got caught in bundle of wire I didn't see while running roto tiller. Learned lesson will use slip clutch.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I had it narrowed down to a Kioti CK2510H and called around and finally found a dealer I liked (that didn't change the price $1700 when I was starting to write a check like the first one did, but that's a different story I will refrain from telling). I drove 100miles away just to look at a tractor and to "just test drive one LS tractor" and ended up buying a LS XJ025H w/ 4ft cutter while I was there. I read enough positive reviews here and read enough good information elsewhere that I was confident I made the right choice for me. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I can't wait.
