Looking to buy my first used John Deere

Tractordata.com is a great site to get tractor specs.

The following site will give part cost and part catalogs. Parts are expensive, sometimes better to pay a little more for a nicer tractor.

What size machine are you considering?

I'm on my 3rd Deere, all purchased used.

I'm looking for small lawn unit. Only have 1/2 acre of lawn with land scraping so a good maneuverability and a smaller deck 38 or 42 is all I can handle.

is it possible to make an engine run the opposite direction if you could reverse the starter? so what if the firing order would be screwed up. should still run even if it does run like crap right? Im talking about if you had your car in first gear with the engine running opposite direction it should go in reverse if you had it in first gear

That is the reverse some old golf carts used but they may have only be Two Strokes. Nearby there is a golf cart trimmed out just like a John Deere but not sure if it is gas or electric.

some of the old outboard engines would do that, instead of a reverse gear they would stop the engine and restart it in the reverse direction. Mercury I think it was and yes two stroke.

that was a serious question. so it is possible? i dont know what happened and how it wound up in this thread though. i blacked out for a little while. I was changing out a front main seal in one of my vehicles and was under the car with it running for a while while the garage door was closed. Was chilly out and had torpedo heater going though. wanted to make sure the leak was fixed. When i got out from underneath the car, i went to my laptop and was checking some threads at my workbench and dont know what happened after that.

Are you still confused by this or are you gonna smartin up and get some ventilation? I mean you did post to run the exhaust gas into the x728 cab for heat today. I assumed you were kidding.

i dont know man but that is a beutiful looking dog you have. thats one thing im sure about. she has ears like my little girl on teh left
