Looking for the best sub compact tractor with FEL, MMM, and backhoe

The best machine will be the one that comes with a local competent dealer. The machines themselves are very competitive with one another.

Right now I believe it can arguably be said that Deere has the nicest, most comfortable SCUT (sub compact utility tractor) on the market with the 1026r. It is a very nice tractor, but the price tag does reflect it. If your on a more of a budget the new Mahindra Max line are very, very nice tractors, they are built very strong and more to the specs of a CUT than a SCUT, and the price tag is much more affordable. Of course there are plenty of other options, but those are the newest models and the best currently available in my opinion.

I went to a MF dealer today and was very impressed by the dealer and the tractor. They quoted my $20,000 for the gc2410, does that seem like a fair deal?

That doesn't sound bad, but if you have a Mahindra dealer around you might want to check them out. Their prices are pretty good and they have a nice Mitsubishi engine. They are coming out with the new Max SCUTs now too.

I haven't seen the Mahindra Max in person. But, it sure looks like the best in class to me right now. Specs are outstanding. And it has a tightly integrated backhoe that where the tractor seat is used. This means a tight fit to the back of the tractor.

I'm not so crazy about certain things on the 1000 series deeres: the way the auxiliary lights are mounted on the fenders, gas gauge in the fender, little stuff like that. The Mahindra looks a little bigger too without being too big.

If I were looking in this size for a TLB, I'd be looking at the Mahindra Max, Kioti CK20, Bobcat CT220. And, I know the Kioti/BC are technically not SCUTs. They are small though. For backhoe work, weight is king and these rule. I suspect they would price out about the same too. The only drawback on the Kioti/BC models is HP. They are only 22 HP. It's plenty for digging, but I'd want more for PTO tasks.

I'd also consider a TYM T233/T273. The Mahindra at 25/28HP and the T273 at 27 HP give you HP, good specs, and small size without breaking the bank.

I like MF tractors. But, I could never get my head around the price for those little 2410 TLBs. You can get much more capability for that kind of money.

One thing's for sure: check out several before you buy.

In a couple of weeks the Mahindra Max tractors will start hitting the dealer lots. At the Mahindra dealer meeting I got to see the Mahindra Max setting next to the Kubota , Deere, and Massey subs, the Max was very noticably more tractor and the backhoe was very noticably better constructed than the Kubota hoe. When they are all sitting side by side the difference was very evident. If you have a Mahidra dealer near and can wait a couple to 3 weeks, the Max may be worth a look.

I agree with most of the comments so far, you should look at all of the offerings before deciding. Make sure you are getting the correct size machine for your long term needs, trading up in a short period of time is expensive too. Look before you leap.:)

I looked at the MF so far, the mahindra Maxx sounds great but have to wait til mid march for the dealer gets one and I really want to look at the bobcat, they make a great skid steer so hopefully they make a great tractor and I heard you can get one for around $12,000 with the FEL and MMM but that's just here say I haven't got a quote yet plus I would want to add the backhoe. I'm excited just looking a cant wait til I got one in the drive way!

I agree with martian, an also look at club cadet yanmar s2450. There all but a deere.
