Looking to purchase either an L2800 or L3400

I'm looking at purchasing either an L2800 or L3400. I only need the tractor for mowing 3 acres of land, brush hoging about 10 acres (some steep ground) and a raking tractor for 50 acres of hay. Also plan to use the tractor for snow removal. My local dealer quoted me a price of $12K for the 2800 and $13K for the 3400. It sound like I can get them down a bit. What's a fair price to pay for these tractors.

I think I'm going to check other dealers as well, but the dealer that I went to has a nice stock of both tractors (with Ag tires which is what I want).

Help a newbe please.

I can't give you advise of one vs the other, but I can tell you that I bought the L3400 a couple weeks ago and I am very impressed by it. It has the FEL and that with chain hooks has made it a snap in putting up a new pole barn, posts and tresses. I have bush hogged 7 acres with no effort.

Darn, I lost my reply I put up an hour ago, anyway, the price I have written down is 12,200 for the L3400 and 3,200 with the FEL. That was trading in my B7500, FEL and RFM and also buying a G2160, but I thought those were given to me for comparing with other tractors.
I drove one and liked it, but went with the L3130 for numerous reasons listed under "Upgraditis". My B7500 was heck on my lawn, especially with the rain I've been getting, and I'm not sure about your conditions, but I imagine an L3400 is going to leave some serious tire depressions and the ags won't help. Nice tractor, though. Have fun choosing!

In February, two NE Texas Kubota dealers quoted me the L2800DT with FEL, 5' Rhino shredder, and 5' LandPride BB for $14,650. The tractor itself was listed about $9800, if I remember right, but that price was part of the whole package. At the time, I thought this was as good a deal as I could get. Now, with Kubota's 0% financing available again, this is the time to buy! I have 11 acres to shred, as well as some driveway to bulid/maintain, and the L2800 has been great.

Good thoughts... I'm not real concerned about the Ag Tires. Most of my lawn is around the barns and out behind the main house. We mow the front lawn and around trees with a push mower. So I'm planning on sticking with the ag tires.

I don't need a FEL. I have a nice track-loader. I do plan on brushhogging my pastures and various paths as well as along my hay and corn fields with this tractor.

The dealer called and he has 2800 ready for me to try, but I think I'm sold on the live PTO on the 3400. I've also checked with other dealers and it looks like I can play one off of the other.

The cool thing about my local dealer is that he has an implement loaner program. If you purchase a tractor from them, you can "borrow" those little used implements for free (for a few days). Like post hole diggers, Seeders, box scrapers, back blades, plows, etc...

I'll probably pull the trigger when I return from vacation (end of June). Thanks for all the help.
