The BX is a great little machine you will love it. And wonder how you ever got along without it.

So I picked up my "new" - to me - baby Wed evening. Once it was home it didn't take my daughter but 30 secs to climb in the seat and want to drive it ... lol

Haven't had much of a chance to use it - darn work gets in the way of fun projects all the time.

Very happy with the purchase - $8500 for 2003 Bx1500D with 234 hours, FEL, MMM, 56" Landspride back blade, & new set of Turf Tires (not yet on tractor).

One of the rear tires leaks (air/fluid) and needs to be pumped up every couple days - Hence the new set of tires. Where should I take it to get the new tire put on & filled. Kubota dealer is probably 1 hr drive from me, can I just pull the wheel and take it to my local JD dealer (who works on our GT)? What's the usual turn around time on that? I have an Air compressor, so it's not too huge of an issue inflating when needed - so I might baby it till the fall when things are slower and do it then.

I also want (need) a weight box in back. Have seen some pretty cool DIY options here and will probably try to make one for the 3pt hitch about 250# - does that sound reasonable?

I also have a pretty good need for fencing work over the next couple years (probably over 60 post holes. Anyone with a Sub-Compact recommend an auger? Looking at the Speedco Compact Auger because I can get it locally w/o spending another $1000 for a LandsPride or Everything Attachements Auger. I've seen some of the threads regarding lifting/depth issues (max 30-36"), but what are people's experiences with them?

What about a toothbar? Specifically the Piranha vs the Ratchet Rake?

Thanks for all the input so far!

Just use your box blade for rear ballast. I'm sure it weighs more than 250#. Use your money for more important things, such as the Piranha Tooth Bar. Let me tease you a little:
