Has anyone ever had problems with the bolts that hold the gearbox on the MMM coming loose. I had 3 loose bolts where the gearbox is bracketed. I thought about locktight, but a friend of mine said the gearbox is aluminum, and the treads would be damaged if I needed to take the bolts out. I put lockwashers on them now. Anyone else correct this at all? Thanks Kent

The lockwashers ought to hold it. If they don't that means you probably have a thread problem. I would then use the Loctite. If the loctite doesn't work it's time for helicoils.

Thanks bgott, I'll be keeping a close on eye it for a bit. I don't want the gearbox coming loose. I bet that would make a mess. Thanks again Kent

It should have had lock washers from the factory. Do they ship those mowers assembled or are they dealer assembled?

Yep, I agree. I'm not sure about the assembling part. I bought my tractor used. Thanks for the reply.
