I have a TN75 and the loader control has a lot of play. Top moves side to side 6". How do I tighten it up. Dealer says replace it at $800.00
Not happening. Should the ball stud (red arrow) be tight in the cast aluminum part (blue arrow) of control? Now it is held in place with a roll pin and has a lot of wobble.

I suspect an ovalized hole in the ball stud because it's close to where the ape interfaces. It might be possible to drill it out and locktite a bushing to tighten it up.

Without understanding which components are worn, it will be difficult to determine if it can be repaired easily. If it's really bothering you, take apart what you can to inspect more closely but if it still works, maybe you should just live with it.

Does the allen set screw go all the way into the plastic housing underneath it? If not, should it?

Its not an Allen set screw, it's a roll pin. I was thinking of drilling and tapping for a set screw next to it, should then be able to tighten the base of the ball stud
