I don't believe ANY tractor maker recommends using thread locker on wheel nuts actually. I know Kubota don't.Was that right next to where it said to routinely check the torque of the wheel bolts?
Post up more information how this wheel related accident and your injuries happened. A pic or two may help too.Per JD manual does not recommend loc-tite
It is a design problem.
John Deere uses lug bolts on all their compact MFWD tractors front axles, as you get larger its a mixed bag. For example the 8R370 uses lug bolts, but the 5090E uses lug nuts, not sure of JD's logic behind the randomness. Why doesn’t John Deer own up to a design problem.normally tractor has threaded studs and then wheel lugs are used.
Think MrBuckmaster is SOL on this one. His lack of attention is the only problem here, and trying to blame someone else likely will not work.I had a JD 2025 for 5 years prior to buying the new tractor in 2021. And no problems and had 800 hours on it. Why doesn’t John Deer own up to a design problem.normally tractor has threaded studs and then wheel lugs are used. Well Consumer Products are Investigating their defective design. Horseshit to have to constantly retorque wheel bolts. Do y’all retorque the lug nuts on your cars and trucks every 5 hrs, 10 hrs , 50 hrs and 200 hrs. Really.
