Ventrac 4231 VXD
Hello,
I have a Ventrac 4231 with the turbo diesel engine. When I am mowing on some of the slopes on my property and I need to reverse the wheels just stop turning. While I do not have a slope meter on it some of the slopes are not too steep and the wheels still stop turning when I try to reverse/back up.

Let me know what you think.

Thank you and Regards,

Tosin

does it feel like it’s running out of power?
If that’s what youre feeling, it could be as simple as a fuel filter.

I hope you are in low range?..... jim

Hail!
I do not think it is the fuel filter the tractor was recently serviced. I am pretty sure it is not in low range, I will figure that out and do it. Then let you know.

Thank You!

I had a similar problem recently with reduced power. It turned out to be a restricted hydraulic filter.

Hail!

Thank you very much!!

I put it in low and with about 1/4 throttle it went forward and reverse up my steepest inclines!!! I even tried it a little bit up a very steep hill in my yard and chickened out, lol. I will watch some YouTube videos for confidence then try later in the week to get up the hill.

Thank you again.

Regards,

Tosin
