loosing revs and power

Hi i have a case 885xl, tractor is loosing revs, runs at around 2500 but as soon as i hit an incline the revs drop off to 1000. but as it is climbing she revs back up for a short time and drops off again only revs up for 10 secs or so. the engine dose not seem to have any pulling power.
i`m new to tractors don`t want to spend a fortune on other people rather do it myself, can anyone please point me in the right direction or where do i need to start thinking about doing.:

How long since fuel filter was changed??? Also check for good fuel flow from tank to inj pump.

Any time there is a shortage of power replace the fuel filters!

Check the air filter as well. Can't burn the fuel if it doesn't get enough air.
