You have my heartfelt condolences.

My 11 year old GSD Mickey is having a hard time of it and I don't know if he will make another year or not. Time passes so fast, doesn't it, and we get so very attached to them. I can barely even think about the day when his time will come without getting all choked up.

Sorry for your loss LB. 3 weeks ago, we had to have our 13 y/o Aussie shepherd put down. So painful for us, but she is not in pain anymore. Rip Sydney.

Sorry to hear that, LB. I love dogs, but have always had cats.... Still remember every one of them, always sad when they go.

Here's Peanut & Coconut (the big guy). Sadly, a Fisher got Peanut so we only have Coconut now, but he's a good guy. Always sleeps at my feet.

I was just down in our garage for the morning "greet and treat" session with our four cats. We had five, but lost one to something; don't know what.

LB, I'm sorry you lost your long-time friend. She had a long life, and you made that life very good for her.

20 good years. Sometimes we are blessed to have these kind of relationships with a special cat.

So Sorry LB ...Cleo was my Cat ...I walked out on our deck on night and heard a meow..and looked down and on the basement pad below I saw a young cat with a kitten in her mouth...I went down to the basement and out onto the patio and began to pet her..she left leaving the kitten and shortly returned with another kitten, then another and another until she had brought 6 kittens.. We took her in and named her Cleo..found good homes for her kittens and she was a member of our family for 15 yrs...The night before she died she spent a lot more time than usual with me laying in my lap and on the back of my neck as I watched TV in the recliner...she was much more affectionate than normal..and I rubbed her all night until bed time...The next morning we found her dead...I figure she was saying goodbye....I am so sorry for your loss...that has been 20 yrs. ago and I still think of her all the time.

LB, my heart goes out to you. My dogs and cats are my best friends. I love each of them more than I can express in words. Pets give you unconditional love, and ask for nothing in return. They are the most loyal members of your family, and they ARE family. I wish I could say or do something to take away the hurt. I've been there many times, and there's nothing worse. This is far too little for someone who helps so many people in this forum, but I really feel for you.
