Lost 4WD on 2008 DK45s

When I depress the switch, it lights up as does the light on the dash. Bit no engagement. PTO still works if that is an indication of anything. 1300 hours on the tractor with no issues.... until now. Any help would be much appreciated.

i will have to check my service manual for my 2010 DK45 when i get to the shop this afternoon. but as i recall there is a fuse and a relay involved in the 4X4 activation. your system is probably similar to mine.

those stupid relays fail all the time and mess with everything from wind shield wipers, lights, stop solenoids and PTO engagements.

i looked at the service manual, there isnt a relay involved. the switch sends a signal directly to the 4x4 solenoid which apparently is nearly impossible to see with rear wheel installed. do a search about loss of 4x4 on dk45 and alot of people say to look for disconnected wires. usually from brush issues.

Thanks. I am going out there now to take a look at the wiring. I have been duking it out with brush this fall so that would not surprise me. I guess I will start from the switch and work my way back from there. Thanks for taking a look for me as I do not have a service manual. Is that something you can buy? I have been a bit surprised how the simplest parts are hard to get for this tractor as there seems to be a consorted effort to get everyone to use their dealer network. But there is no dealer within 30 miles of here.

I have never had any issues getting parts. But you first need part number. I have service manual and parts manual for mine. Ordered them thru my dealer.
