Lost a close family member today

scesnick, sorry to hear about your loss. My wife and I put down our lab/husky this past spring well before his time. He was only 6 but the vet said it was for the best, he had some rare disease that came out of nowhere. He was a good friend that did everything with me around the house.

Hang in there buddy. It does get better with time. We had to put down Cedar, our red chow about eight years ago. Every morning when I go out on the deck to play with Mocha and Midas, our chocolate lab and orange cat, as I look at the day the Good Lord has given me, I see the cedar tree I planted on Cedar's grave right over the back yard fence. It was hard getting over Cedar, but Mocha has wormed her way into my heart in the five years we have had her. After she is gone, the Lord will send another one to take her place.
