That's hard. It doesn't get any harder. I had to deal with it earlier this year. I still find myself unable to believe it, or understand how to deal with the loss. It's hard to come home.
I wish I could tell you how to cope with that kind of grief. I can only tell you what I tell myself.

Condolences to You and Your Family on the passing of Your Belove Pet.They do become members of a family,thats for sure.I'm glad to hear that You found a vet to come to Your home,it's Sooo much easier on the Pet,when it's time.No stress on them at all.My wife and I has been there and had to go thru it.Definitly hard thing to go thru.

So sorry for your lose. Our 12 yo Ruby passed last Jul, she too had cancer. Unlike your Jeter, she actually passed in the back of the pickup - she had to get just one more ride.

Aside from the Yankee fan aspect, I'm really sorry to hear about your dog. Every time I read a post like this I cringe at the thought of having to lose one of my dogs someday. I'm sure it's a hard decision to make, it's nice that you were able to put him to rest at his own home though. Sorry for your loss. Do you have a few pics you want to share with us?

I feel your pain and offer my condolences. We had to out down our 8 year old Chocolate Lab Sasha. She had a ruptured disk in her hip/back area. She was in alot of pain and is resting easier now. It was right for her and hard on us.
