Lost Hydraulics

Using my MF 1540.....lost hydraulics and discovered this.....ideas?

That may be a 120V cold weather block heater. I'm no expert but I know some people use to make their own block heater for extremely low temperatures. Did you trace the plug wire to see where it actually went?

As to the lost hydraulics... I've had trouble with my MF 253 turbo hydraulics a couple of times and both times it was a clogged filter inside the transmission case. "A real messy job" but not difficult.

I hope you post the findings as to what that plug is wired to.

Sorry assumed the picture was clearer. The plug is for a block heater. I was trying to figure out what fluid was leaking. Turns out I blew the hydraulic pump. Malfunctioning coupler (the ones with the little pins that have to meet. The female side was twisted to one side and not allowing a return flow. Im told that with experience I would have heard a difference in the hydraulics when they were working. Its been suggested that I replace these couplers (3/8) with 1/2" ball couplers. any experience with this??
