I have misplaced the keys to my DK35. Is there an easy way to get them replaced? Can I order a new set based upon the PIN number or other ID number? Or do I need to call out the locksmith and have them make a new key?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Not too big of a problem, Do you know anybody in the neighborhod with a Kioti? If you do there is a good chance their key will work. Otherwise just check with a dealer if you have one close by.

Many or most of the Kioti keys are the same.
Just call a dealer and have a set sent out.

When my CK30 was delivered... the dealer, who is 225 miles away from me, didn't give me a set of keys for it when I signed the paperwork!! The delivery driver has a DK40... he gave me his keys, said they are all the same and he would get another set when he got back to the dealer. Your dealer should be able to send you another set of keys.

Its a really good idea to separate the keys when you get the tractor. This post may be silly, but you would be surprised how many times we get a tractor in for service, even two or three years old and both keys are hanging from the switch!

I have ordered two replacement ignition switches so far for my CK30. They both came with two keys each which worked in all three switches. If you have to order a couple of keys you may as well see how much extra an ignition switch costs.

I very carefully separated the keys when I took delivery of my DK. However, I only know where one key is (the one in the ignition) and the other is missing in action. Luckily, I had a spare from my CK I forgot to hand back to Rick when he took it in trade so I still have one extra. Spare keys tend to disappear from what were once obviously safe spots that are too often forgotten.

Hey, I only got 1 key when I got my tractor a month ago. Should I have gotten 2?

I got four keys for my DK45SC, two for the ignition and two for the cab doors. The ignition keys don't open the cab, but the cab keys work in the ignition. If I lost my "working" set, I might, with an extended search, be able to find the other set (I'm sure they are in a safe place; I just don't know where that is, exactly).

Guys, I have a small clear plastic container in kitchen cabinet where all keys live unless being used. I took all of the "second keys" and placed on ONE LARGE key ring. Has saved me a few times. When that key ring is pulled it means alert time for the single key.

Good idea for all keys, find you a good key ring from with a company's name and address on there you deal with. Use it. That way if anyone decent finds it they often will get the keys to them and then you can call them.

This is a great idea for a tractor dealership to help build customer base. Have a top notch quality round key ring tag that has instruction you will pay return postage and mailing address. It really impresses people. Believe it or not had an insurance company who did this and could track the keys by policy number compared to key ring number.

I keep a file folder for each of the vehicles and equipment I have, all paperwork and receipts go in that file. What also goes in each file.... the spare key. I have put too many keys in 'safe' places never to find them again. So spare keys now go in the folder with all the paperwork for that vehicle.

I never take mine out of the ignition (stored in garage) and, yep, both are still on the key chain they came with:eek:.
Me thinks I'll remove one tomorrow and put it with the xtra Motorhome keys.

Hmm. I'm going to have to talk to my dealer. So far they've been really great but a bit short on the details.

a) only got 1 key
b) still waiting for owners manual that they lost
c) BH mounting bolts were so loose it was ridiculous
d) FEL joystick lost a "mount bolt" but none are in stock, had to improvise

Hmmm. Still waiting.

But I still absolutely LOVE the tractor.
