Lost / New RTV Keys

Soooooo I lost my keys to the RTV1100, or the kids hid them. After a week, I thought I was screwed and would have to get a new cyclinder or whatever. Nope $6 per key, so I bought 4. Did you know they were all the same?

Yes, but only because there was a thread on the topic within the last year or so.

Sure beats the price I paid to replace a broken car key!

I tie a long loop string around my key and loop it over the steering wheel. When done, I pull key out and drop it.... stays with vehicle and assures that the clock is stopped and there next time I need it.
Yes, RTV keys are all same... so are MANY models of Kubota tractors.

For those not voiced on this stuff. YES all 4 wheeler keys and utv rtv what ever you call your thing are the same. Maybe some brand new ones arenot but older ones yes. Matter of fact many 4 wheelers if you can fit a key into the key hole it will turn it on!! Tractors are the same, JD has just a few keys (one like after 1969 and one before?), yanmar 2 keys etc etc. Heavy equiptment is the same all my loggers stuff is the same . A tigercat key is a tigercat key, a cat key is a cat key etc.

You can go on the bay and buy a set of key for like $60 i think that is like 30 keys and it says that it will cover like 90 % of all heavy eq or tractors out there!

And the door keys are the popular RV CH751 key that fits many RV side compartments. Think the ignition key is the same of the M series tractors.

My Kubota BX25 key fits (exact same key) my RTV1140 but the B2320 key is 2 to 3 times bigger.

These are the reasons why i NEVER leave my tractor at my unoccupied farm for more than the day. i drive it the 1 mile or so to my uncles place and leave it under the shed. If they want your stuff they will bring their own key and just take your tractor, lawnmower,, RTV, UTV you name it. At least this way they have to take it out of his yard with them home??
