Trucksales, please keep us posted as you figure out the problem. BTW, I know that my 3 point shouldn't move when my FEL moves...I'm thinking I have an internal leak in my 3 point and the tractor keeps supplying pressure to the three point to keep the implement elevated. Your symptom of having the mower drop suddenly sounded like what I'm seeing. If I understand the systems correctly, neither the three point or FEL should move with a loss of hydraulic pressure until the operator moves the controls to "vent" hydraulic fluid so the implement/loader can move. After all, we can leave our FEL and implement elevated after we stop the engine, right? If your FEL and three point both moved without you touching the controls then I'm wondering if you have a different problem than hydraulic pressure supply. If the three point and FEL both lowered only after you moved the controls, then you're probably right that it's a hydraulic pressure supply problem.
I'm pretty sure the backhoe had never been removed from my L35 before I bought it, which means the three point and pto had never been used/moved either. I'm thinking the three point cylinder or piston/seal is somehow damaged by lack of use. Someday I'll tear it apart and figure out what's wrong. But it works OK now. This will be an early winter project.
