I was clearing some trees for my futue homesite i.e.--using my Kubota like it was a dozer, when I ran over a large limb and it popped the valve stem off one of the front wheels. Started me to thinking. Do any of you guys have valve stem protection? Maybe a short piece of pipe welded to the rim, or would it not be worht the trouble?
Thanks

I don't have any firsthand experience, but I thought the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=custom&Number=31887&page=&view=&sb=&o=&vc=1#Post31887>Valve stem guards</A> thread made some interesting reading.

Most of the tractor owners around these parts have black iron nipple welded on the rim to protect the valve stem.
Having a flat in the woods can be a real pain changing..ask a logger.
