Same problem the other day while blowing snow with my B2650HSDC..After blowing snow with the front mount snow blower for about 2 hours, the tractor started loosing power and blowing dark smoke under moderate load and got progressively worse. Ended up the air filter element was completly iced up to the point I'm amazed that the engine was getting any air at all. The intake had been sucking in the blow back snow..Dealer said it was a common problem and they advised carrying a spare air filter in case the problem happened while a distance from home (I clear residential laneways). I duck taped a grain bag across the front grill and today while blowing snow under similar conditions for 3 hours there was a minimal amount of ice buildup on the filter element.
