Do you have a Farm Pro brush hog? They normally have a noisy sounding gearbox. I have sold a dozen or so of them and the last 4 or 5 months they have all been noisy, but they work. With everyon going so high on implement because of steel prices, the low cost of the Farm Pro units will save you enough for some ear plugs, I hope they get better gearboxes soon, I would pay an extra $ 40 or so for a higher quality gearbox.
OR....just spend a couple hundred more and get a king kutter,,,,saving money is a good thing,,but.........whats a 4 ft king kutter cost now,,,500 dollars or so????thingy
Thanks for all the comments, I put another 3hrs on it last weekend with good results. As for pricing, I paid about $200 less for this versus the king kutter, which is real money for an implement I use 20-25 hrs a year.
Now we will see how it stands the test of time /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
