Love my AG\'s

Great in the mud and dirt, the first test, but I've been very happy in the snow.

Traction: Seem great for driving through deep, multy layered snow. Get a great cut through the snow to find a solid layer to grip. No floating. Tires grip very well on pure snow surfaces.

Compaction: Very little snow compaction. With minimum width, and deep lug, the majority of the snow is left for easy removal with the front-end loader or box blade.

Jagged Ice clearance: Deep lugs seem to be high enough to allow for sufficient clearance on uneven roadside and driveway frozen sharp ice surfaces.

I don't mow lawns, and it seems I made the right choice. Thanks for all the input you guys gave me 9 months ago. I really thought I wanted the R4's at first.

Re: Love my AG\'s

Rob, was in quite a bit of mud last year-worked great!!

I was actually in very deep, swampy-type mud during the summer, but around here we are basically all sand, so down there somewhere those ag's found solid ground and pushed/pulled my L4610 to safety-sometimes while operating my 6' KK tiller. The loaded rear tires, cab, FEL, and 900#tiller/boxscraper combo probably helps find the solid stuff as well.

I often wondered if I had wider tires, say R4's or other, would I float and spin? Glad I didn't take the chance.

Yeah, mine have been flawless in the snow and mud. I really haven't had (much) problems with mowing either. Funny thing is, it seems to damage dry short grass (like in poor soil) more than normal moisture ground.
It will shred a patch if you are using the loader and spin, but then again, if you have the rear weighted properly and you spin, you would shred with the turfs too.

Re: Love my AG\'s

rouge, try this trick. when you are in the yard just lower your bucket apply downforce and then turn your wheels. I have to use this alot when in a tennants yard especially our retired ladies yards. keeps me out of trouble and keeps the cookies coming at christmas time.
