Love My BX23

Having had my state electrical license for over 33 years I would hope I could determine correctly if it's the connector for the light/blinker switches I'm removing...Mowed the field this evening and the headlights come on as soon as the key switch is on...Looking for a print so I can trace this out.

Normally, current HAS to go through the light switch inorder for current to pass on to the lights.
With your switch disconnected this definitely takes it out if the equation.
I'd be suspecting that someone has done alittle "jury rigging" somewhere along the line. Are there additional lights thats been wired in to the light circuit?
attached is a BX23 wireing diagram.
Good luck, I'm REAL curious as to whats causing this....

Hello all...This is my first posting...Used my new (to me) '05 BX23 backhoe yesterday to dig a 60' trench 3' deep to run a new electrical line...My Kubota worked so well it almost made me look like I knew what I was doing...Have removed 5 stumps since I purchased it two weeks ago and I'm very happy so far with what it'll do...Sold my old orange friend (B5100) and upgraded to this...If there's anything I'm not too thrilled about it's the electrical part of it...When I looked at/bought the tractor I tried the lights of course and everything worked fine...Trailered it home and when I drove it off the trailer I noticed the lights were on...Checking the light switch (which was off) I thought uh oh...Going to have to troubleshoot that part and see where the short is and clear it...Looking forward to reading more about the BX23 and others on this forum.

The flashers on mine came on when I washed the tractor and the switches and relays under the dash got wet.
I simply unplugged the wire from the switch for a couple of weeks then plugged it back on.
Has worked fine ever since.
I do try to prevent excess water from getting in there by not hosing the dash with hard sprays of water from the garden hose.

Ouch.....Fourth bracket. Tough to change/spendy? From what I'm reading on here I better pick up a six pack of those.
