Went home yesterday to find much of my road had been washed away, with the silt completely blocking the entrance of the culvert under my driveway. Attacked the silt with a shovel out of habit, but then it dawned on me that Clementine was waiting in the garage for just this sort of thing. Fired up the old L3010 and brought her down to the road. Took a few tries to get her in position (road so narrow the rear blade kept bumping up against the stone wall), but then took one huge bite of muck and whoosh the water was free to run right thru that pipe!
If the rain and warm weather (40s) continues, I should be able to see the ground in my meadow in a couple more weeks!
