Hi Matt,
The 5ft. brush hog worked very well. I have not cut the really deep grass which will bog our 40 hp down if you don't keep it in first gear (with the 6 ft. hog), but I was impressed with the eveness of the power and PTO delivery. When I hit big stones and mini logs mowing an area I leveled with a dozer last year and had not mowed previously, I only knew I was chopping that stuff up and spitting it out from the clatter in the old brush hog...the tractor just chugged along like a....you guessed it, a TANK. I am using the brush hog on this area but eventually will switch to a 6 ft Woods finish mower.
Question 2. Woods Backhoe X70. I dug through blue clay, shale, tree roots down to the maximum depth. I did not hit bedrock and have to shatter through it...yet, but will where I am putting one foundation.
Overall, I am very impressed with the CK20 and Woods Backhoe and the ratio's they have set up. Because we have a JD 990, I have access to a bigger tractor if I want to do bigger jobs--faster on the farm. For the home and small fruit operations, the CK20 really meets our needs--at least so far given I only have 42 hours on it.
Once downside to the WOODs four point hitch is that the frame is too close to the tires in two places and as a result, will make chains hard or impossible to use. I need chains on the farm and in the winter, with snow removal, chains are a must which is why I have a heated cab. If I had the Kioti backhoe, it would just all slide out and the chains go on and maybe I could have the chains with that backhoe. With the WOODs backhoe, it looks cool, weighs more but I am not sure that as I learn more, I will wish I had the Kioti one. I must have chains and may have to do an UNINSTALL of the frame each winter. I really wish I had chains on all the time, especially with the backhoe. Again, I am learning but have tried to answer your questions, Matt--as best I can.

we got a kioti last spring, ck20 what a great little tractor! been years since i'd been on a tractor, wow they sure have changed. {use to have a very old ford on family farm } we use the kioti alot last summer clearing the land, thought i was gonna have to out run hubby a couple times to get "my turn" LOL last fall i bought him his own tractor..kabota 46.. now i have my little punkin all to my self! LOL we leave the kabota down on the farm, i have mine at home.. looking for another brush hog.. it tough enough to do the work i need to do but small enough to get in tight place{in between trees} ive drove to kabota a few times.. but wouldnt trade the kioti . Rose
