So why didn't you just use the backhoe for the hole instead of getting the loader involved too? Just wondering.

Long story in other posts, but the short version is that I had the hole dug with the backhoe fine. No problems except the tank delivery was delayed and during that time we had some rain that caved in the side of the hole some and the earth was too weak to back out on to the edge so I could clean it back out with the hoe. So, I had to build a ramp down to it; which came in handy because I had to get the tractor down in the hole to help maneuver the tank into place.

Well the 2538 was delivered about 2 weeks ago---Just like Dickfoster I am loving this tractor. The backhoe is strong as I have already added alittle more lawn to mow next year and removed a couple large stumps. I bought a set of pallet forks when I bought the tractor- wasn't sure how much I would use them but now they never seem come off. The tractor won't lift a ton of pallets out of the back of the truck and move them into the basement- but there certainly are lots of other uses. Anyone else happy with the purchase of a 2538? I will post pictures shortly!
