low profile equipment trailer with full width monster ramps - opinions please

I have the same trailer as Michford, only a 20 foot model. The ramps are great. I almost always use them unfolded to load, then fold them up after loading.

But recently I had a large load placed on the trailer using a forklift. I used the entire 20 ft length for cargo, leaving the ramps in place unfolded. They are very versatile.

Mine is a 20 foot long trailer. The 14ET from Big Tex stands for 14,000 lbs equipment trailer.

I have a Big Tex 14ET with Mega Ramps. I like the fact that they fold flat for usable deck space and the ramps can also be locked in a vertical position. As others have already mentioned, they are almost full width. They have torsion springs to assist with lifting. My only beef with them is one ramp torsion spring is almost too strong and does not let the ramp lie on the ground.

Has that old Ford tractor pictured been made into 4WD? Pretty cool looking.

Yes, my Ford 860 has an aftermarket Sherman Napco from the late 50's on it. I also have a Ford 841 with an Elenco conversion on it, but it is in non running condition. Are you into Mustangs? I ask with your screen name referencing the license number of the Mustang in the Bullit movie.

Mega ramps are a must if you load both wide front end and narrow front end tractors on the trailer.

I've seen Bullitt I don't know how many times. I have a 2007 Mustang GT that I ordered in May 2006 and took delivery in August that year. In nearly 14 years only around 33k miles. Never seen a flake of snow.

I have a 30 foot dual tandem low profile PJ gooseneck with them and I like them. They are a little heavy to fold (I think my springs are getting weak) but are so much easier to drive up on than the regular style ramps. Another nice thing is you have a truly flat deck when they are folded up or you can lock them in an upright position that is great for hauling round bales of hay. Only thing that is nicer is a hydraulic dove tail, but they are expensive and add another level of complexity to a trailer.
