Lowe's Military Discount

NOTHING that has to be ordered qualifies for the discount at Home Depot,,,

Home Depot lost the sale of my Milwaukee 18V chain saw because of the "no online discount" policy,,,

I have been a Lowes regular since finding out about the discount,, over a year,, :cool2:

At HD there are several exemptions to military discount such as on sale items, clearance items etc. However one of the service managers told me as long as the online item has a store SKU # you could order at the store and they could apply the military discount. I haven't tried this yet but sounded reasonable. Another thing I recently found out is if they lower the price on an item you can get the difference refunded if you take the receipt back within 30-days of purchase. I have used this option which is available to anyone.

I use our local HD much more often then Lowe's as their customer service is so much better.

Haven't had any veteran verification issues at my Lowes, I just tell them my phone number.
I rarely go to Home Depot anymore because I don't know what qualifies for a veterans 10% discount until I cash out. Too often I didn't get a discount at Home Depot.

^^^^^^ what he said!

I get 10% off with my Lowes card.

I love the military parking spots up close. Our store has 4 of them.

MA licenses also are designated 天eteran if you, show them DD214 as well.
So is Texas. There is one state that only has the letter "V" on it. I don't know how someone in another state would know it meant veteran.

California also puts a "veteran" designation on driver's licenses. Just have to provide a DD214. I got it. Not sure what benefit there is to it though.

Often wondered about that. I always show them my ID when I give them my phone number. I don't have a problem with that. Home Depot will just ask for your ID...glad they honor the ID everyday ! Yes...I have noticed that Lowes has reserved veteran parking. I park elsewhere as some other veteran may have a hard time walking to the store.

Home Depot has the full time discount also but; it is not honored on discounted items, online purchases or special orders like Lowes does. Lowes is a lot closer so that is my preferred big box. HD carries stuff Lowes doesn't and vice-versus. I have a lot of RYOBI stuff as I used to live closer to a HD so hat takes me there from time to time. I am loyal to my Veteran discount merchants.

HD all-year discount is for active duty, retired, and disabled veterans.

Lowes all-year discount is for active duty, retired, disabled, and honorably discharged veterans.

Home Depot and Lowe's 10% Military Discount Policy - Year Round

Bruce

Don't leave out the Reserves. They no longer have a different ID card, their's is the same as ACDU now. Now a reservist can rack upwards of 10-15+ years ACDU in a 30 year career.

If it isn't openly offered, I won't ask for it. I won't make a purchasing decision for or against a merchant based on it. I look for the best value overall, which may include paying more or driving further to get the best product for the task..
