Looks pretty cool!
I think you need a couple more chains on that tractor...you missed a spot. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Cool, any way to build a frame to pick it up level? I built I little 4' harrow from 1/2" solid bar and some t-posts for deer plots. Pulls easy behind my ATV. While testing it out the other day in some root infested ground I noticed it trapped a lot of stuff. Just pucking it up from one side and the stuff just fell out. Might rig it up on the 3pt. But I like how I can go faster on the ATV.

I used an "x" bracing with the boom pole and it pick's it off the ground very well...and it was something I had laying around...simple and easy

yep that's the one I remember seeing. Cool how with those spikes straight down how the little roots just slide off. I need to go steel..errrrr borrow my BIL gin pole that he never uses.

nice rig, but can you haul it at 30 mph!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe not at 30 mph, especially with a 16 mph tractor.

But at least
a) I can back into a corner with it,
b) I can use reverse gear to clear brush from the teeth
c) I don't require 30 acres to turn around with it dragging behind,
d) I can back it into a shed without hitting the header with the boom pole, and
e) I can take it down the highway to scratch my neighbor's pasture.

Long story short, the lift frame was a good place to use some inch and a half pipe and a few feet of rebar - that were otherwise rusting away on the scrap heap.

When I dozed and graded this place in 1971 I had a farmer plow and disk it. After he did that I drug a spike Harrow around over it. Pulled the Harrow with a chain hooked to my Bolens 850 tractor. It done a real nice job getting the soil fine smooth and level.

C) Only problem with not being able to lift it was it took the 30 acres.

When I finished with it I stood it on edge against the wall in the carport where it's been now for 35 years. Never touched it again.
