LS G3038H - Cleaning Rad Screen?

   / LS G3038H - Cleaning Rad Screen? #11
Recently I looked at a friends B21 rad screen and it was totally blocked, like I have never seen one so bad.
Had him blow it clean and wash it as well.
Based on that finding I pulled his air cleaner and WOW, looked more like 4-5 bird's nests in there.
I wonder how that poor CUT could breathe.
His fuel filter was just as bad.

Needless to say he's deficient in the maintenance department. (but then he is an accountant and counts the pennies)

LOL, his car is the same way.

Your friend should go back to accounting school. Evidently, he missed the section "A penny saved is a penny earned". Neglecting even the simplest maintenance items can lead to spending big bucks on repairs. Hope you "Schooled" him a bit. Friends don't let friends drive dirty.

I agree but also he is stubborn.
Yes, he gets 'schooled' by me a lot on equipment and most other related things.
LOL, his wife warned me to never let him touch electricity and seeing some of his 'good enough' hookups I understand why.

His mechanical background is his dad's old Ford 8N that they owned forever, never changed oil, probably never even checked the levels either.
Starting was either by pushing or via jumper cables.

Should see his bulldozer, LOL, electrical tape on hoses, fencing wire to hold push arm knuckle in place.
He buys antifreeze from drained scrapped cars.

When he fires up the dozer I leave as I don't want to be the one retrieve his corpse from the bottom of the cliff.
Once he dozed down hill pushing tree stumps and could not back up.

LOL, the hydrostatic transmission tank was short over 5 gals of fluid.

Agree he should stick to book keeping.

Hahahaha! I guess God did not bless everyone with the "mechanical" gene. Good thing he has a good friend to watch over him.
