LS paint

Dealer sold me a rattle can of 'Tallman's AG Specialty Coatings 2466 Ford Blue'. We're not sure it's an exact match, but it's all he had.

just curious, did you put any hardener in that paint?
Yes, I did put the Majic hardener in the paint, at the proper amount, then the correct amount of reducer as specified. Sprayed great, did flash in about 30 minutes. Tack free in about 2 hours.

Looks great, when did LS change blue shades? I have a 2020 MT240, will this be the exact same color? I have a small chip in the hood I'd like to fix, and just paint that spot, not the whole hood.
I have basically sprayed the safety blue into a small paper cup, then used a small artist / model brush to touch up small chips. If you dab enough on, almost enough to form a slightly raised 'bump' of the paint, it will dry and shrink to the same level as the surrounding paint surface. Put it on, then walk away..... come back tomorrow and "surprise!" .... almost can't see the spot.
Don't put too much on though.....

The old body shop manager used to tear a match out of a matchbook and dab the little chips with the torn end. Worked slick.

I'm not aware that the paint has changed? My 2017 XR4155HC is same color.

thanks all, I had some expanded metal welded to my brush guard, primed and sprayed the whole thing with safety blue, it was kind of close initially, but after 6 months of cure/fade, it's not even close, night and day. That safety blue was from the rattle can, not quart container, so maybe that made a difference. I don't mind getting a quart of SW to have on hand through the years. I did text the dealership last night to see if they had any, and am waiting for a reply.

I could be the difference between the rattle can and the paint out of the pail. I guess they don't call them time bombs for nothing. I bought a gallon of Safety Blue when I got the tractor. Still looking good, though the tractor is undercover and not in direct sun as it sits. Those little rollers work great for painting expanded metal and other mesh.
