Check drop control knob below the seat. Now if you are like me something is jammed into linkage or or 3 point arms. I'm not gentle with the brush hog and no flat mowing, just real brush, rocks and what ever else I find
Thanks, I'll go check that out.

That did the trick.

As heavy as that bush mower is, you'd think it would drop easily.

I'll go out and check the connections after she cools off or perhaps tomorrow.

Here is another piece to this: it only clicks and won't start after it is hot from running. Does that mean anything else?

Gotta say things are getting frustrating. I have 24 hours on this rig.
This many problems at 24 hours, I'd be finding a way to return the whole package. Seriously.

In all the half-dozen plus tractors I've owned, I've only ever had one in-warranty failure, a seal that blew out in my 3033r. It was diagnosed to be an assembly issue, and the dealer had it fixed within one business day.

Returning the whole package isn't a viable option at this point.

The 3 point not dropping was figured out thanks to @Eagle1 reminding me of the drop control knob.

At this point I haven't determined if the starter connections are the issue. Someone else said they had the same problems and found these connections were loose.

My concern now is the connections to the starter, whether they are loose or not, and why after the tractor has warmed up it doesn't want to turn over, and only clicks when the key is turned. Once I get more time, I'll get a chance to check everything. My work schedule is all over the place, and I don't know day to day where I will be.

Reviews on this LS are really good, so I'm wondering if I got a unit with a bad starter or another issue. If so, that would make my ownership experience a one in warranty failure as well.

Maybe I missed it. What size and type LS Tractor is this?

I see there are a number of service manuals available for purchase. Some are free but I do not know what systems they share with your unit.

I had taken the mention of something breaking on the mower yesterday as part of the tractor package, as well. But maybe that was unfair.

Hopefully it's just a loose wiring connection somewhere in the system, but your mention of it being pretty consistent only after warmed up makes me think it might be more likely a cracked wire in a potted coil assembly (solenoid).

You'd expect loose wiring connection issues to be more random prior to eventual complete and permanent failure. Usually when you see something that fails to actuate only when warm (or only when cold), it's in a potted assembly or circuit board, where CTE is causing a connection to make or break with temperature.

Could just be a sticky brush, that is keeping it from contacting the armature fully once warm or the contacts in the solenoid sticky when hot. I had a shut off solenoid not pulling in on cold days because a bit of moisture internally that would freeze on my Kubota. Had a little tear in a gasket only showed up when well below freezing...
Once I figured out the quirks on the LS (differences from Kubota) it has been a joy and trouble free other than abuse by me.
