LS XG3025 3-point lift Stabilizers

I have attached a photo showing the hinge on the stabilizer. When I have the piece of equipment centered and the pin in place and go to the other arm and stabilizer and try to place the pin in that stabilizer the original one just swivels at the hinge. I really don't know how to explain this any better but maybe the photo will help. Do your stabilizers also have a hinge on the end that attaches to the tractor?

Yes, I usually pull that little swivel thingy tight, then put the pin in. Essentially keeping it as straight /tight as possible. The same is repeated for the other side.

With these links, you will never get the attachment absolutely tight (which you don't want to do anyway).

Like other say, they work on tension rather than compression.

But while you are still thinking about your 3 pt, change those square head pins to one with a flat face. Those stupid square heads tend to rotate, grab, and then bend your stabilizer bar.

Boomer 30 broken stabilizer mount

Anyone else broken their stabilizer mounts for the 3pt hitch? I got the Boomer 30 (LS Made) in mid August and slightly bent the left stabilizer bar the first weekend I used it (with the tiller, as it was setup by the dealer). Being my first tractor, I assumed I must have done something wrong...
