I was just thinking that if its on the bottom it leaves some room since I only had 1/8" steel available to use. this way it can bend up some without hitting anything. also, to remove or install just set in on jack and apply a bit of pressure to plate and frame so it stays in place while installing the bolts. then when its time to remove for service put jack under, remoe bolts and lover jack. My next project now is to fasten the tow hooks to the frame just behind where the brush guard mounts. I see there are holes on each side. Where are you guys hooking the rear of the tractor to your chains while towing? I hooked to the loader 2"x2" tube steel at the rear yesterday.
