Well picked up my new baby digger at auction today. Probably paid too much but anyway. Pilot controls, double pump, grease tensioned tracks, oil cooler with fan. Have noticed a couple cylinders with plastic wrap caught in the seals so will have to figure out how to get those pieces out. but overall seem happy right now. Tracks seem like they take a fair amount of effort to turn by the way the engine sounds when moving. And the controls are really sensitive, but will get use to them in time.

Congrats, Randy. Now you have to open it up and see what you bought.

System RV almost certainly set too low. You have a pilot RV, too, but no info on what to set it to.

I posted on how to fix the cylinder that sucks in some shrink film, but there are several kinds of cylinders out there.

The jerk will always be there in these! I have 2 L-12's and the L-12R is worse than the L-12. They are WAY underpowered on the track drive for sure and the tread design grips the ground like a magnet adding to the problem. Tread needs to be only a quarter of the height that they are in my opinion.
Control valves are a poor design and you cant feather them when diggin. Dont take much to go from woa to full go and nuttin in the middle.
Road travel needs to be 2 times faster and diggin speed needs to be 2 times slower on these.
The first thing to look at is the front idlers! Mine are wobbly from the factory and the tracks fall off every time you turn. Right side is the worst but both fall off.
Grease tightners are a joke! Need converted to bolt type.
RATO motor has way more power than the Briggs knockoff in the 12's.
Bucket edges are dull as are the teeth. Sharpen them before you ever put it in the dirt!
MOST of these have shipping damage and you will have to tighten all the bolts cause the chimineese dont tighten anything,--they throw a nut or bolt at it and move on to the next one. They have NO quality control at all over there!
For the price you cant make one yourself so kinda stuck with what these are but it gives you the parts you need so now you can start tearing them apart and making them into a useful machine of your own design!
