Can the engineer that designed the location for the oil drain valve please stand up? I have a few words for him.

Like: Why did you put the starter directly in the way of the oil change valve? Doesn't any one of you engineers try to work on these machines during mock up? Don't you have an advisory board to give you feedback on some of your screwy designs?

Also: Why not make the valve stick out far enough so that someone with hands perhaps a little bigger than a prom queen can get to it?

Surely somebody makes an extension for this abomination.

I will put a flex hose on mine

It always boggles my mind how these things always happen with all things internal combustion engine! For instance, the fuel canister location housing the fuel filter in my dodge 12valve cummins diesel 2500 truck! Fowl lanquage is always in order during a filter change!

Take the engine out of the unit and set it on a bench. I bet the oil drain is very accessible. The problem lies in all the different applications the engine is used in. Do not blame the engine company for hard to reach items.
