I was looking to by a John Deere and was looking at the LT 160 in particular. I have a pretty decent size yard, about 2 acres, and will be doing a lot of snow removal in the winter. I don't have much money to work with and I'm hoping to keep the total cost, tractor and snow blower or plow attachment, under 4 or 5000 dollars. Just wondering what you guys think.

You may want to look at the LT 180 or 190 with the Kawasaki powered V-Twins. An LT 180 would run you like 3300 plus 1500 for the blower then you are right at your price range for a bigger motor than the 160.

I've had 3 JD's with Kaw V-twins (LX188, 335, 345) and am a big fan of the motor, V-twins are much smoother than a single and all three of mine have been very dependable. I would move up a notch you will be happier in the long run.

We got that 320 with the Kaw Twin and it's nice. Almost the same motor as your 345.
