lt1050 PTO shutting off when trying to go forward

I have a LT1050 that is starting to shut the PTO off when I push the pedal to go forward. If I push the PTO knob back in after the shutdown and pull it back out to start, it will fire the PTO back up and sometimes it will keep going and other times it won't after pushing the pedal forward. Any ideas what could cause this issue? I replace the relay last year, but that was when it wouldn't engage the PTO when the knob was pulled out. Thanks

Just the PTO, or the engine too?

The engine too would sound like the seat switch may not be working (unplug both wires near the seat hinge to test)

PTO only could be the reverse sensor thinking you are backing up, not going forward. Test it by turning off the reverse pto shutoff (put the key in the yellow position and push the triangular button so that the red LED lights up.
