Have a lt133 with a Kohler cv13s . It was not charging anymore. Root cause mouse nest under flywheel burnt the stator. Including melting the diode in the charging system.

Local dealer sold me all the pieces I needed to change from diode charging system to a regulator rectifier system. I believe that is 3v to 15v charging.

So I have installed the new stator mounted and grounded the rectifier. The 2 wires from the stator go to the two outside terminals on the rectifier. The 12 volt charging from the center terminal to the battery or the hot wire I believe. This hook up makes the rectifier live from the battery on all three terminals ....normal?

Then there are wires joined to the two outer terminals on the rectifier. They are crimped in the connectors with the wires from the stator. I believe feed power to the two circuits that incorporate all the safety stuff through two relays...... am I on the right track??

The kill wire is white to white and grounds when key shuts off. Good there I think.

Now the kit included yellow and blue wires joined at a plug. that plug joins into the harness at a yellow wire with a plug that was previously unused. The yellow has the same plug as the one joined in the harness. The blue wire joins an extension wire that came with the kit. So yellow went to yellow and blue ....but these two are not obvious or easy to figure where they might go. Yellow is short but the blue part has 10 inches. The dealer said no kit diagram or explication was available.
Does anyone have a diagram of this update or even a diagram of the wiring in the lt133 as it relates to this engine pre or post update? Or anyone just know where the wires go ? Any help appreciated!
Thanks

Hi, I see that you joined in 2014 but never posted until today. In any case,
Welcome
:welcome:

Just so we understand were you are coming from, did you buy the "kit" from a JD dealer?

If so, what is the part number?

Can you post some photos of the part and the wires you have connected so far.

Yes thanks for the welcome ... I did post a few times when I joined but had some issues with computers and internet. Recently sorted that out thought I壇 check in again.

I bought what was termed as a kit but it was piece by piece as apparently no kit is available anymore. If I understood correctly the cv13s had later generations with rectifiers but the early ones were using a smaller voltage with a diode, and the stator had 3 wires on the older generation. I値l get some pics tomorrow and see if I can upload them.

Thanks everyone for the wisdom and help.... tomplum thanks that is exactly what I needed... I was missing the move the wire at the relay detail. That little detail made life simple... on to the next misadventure!
