For those who dont know them, Mato of Germany makes screw type grease cartridges, that you just screw the endcap off, screw it into the grease gun and start greasing. De aeration is seldomly required, and if it does i put it over a pipe to press the air through before the pump sucks the grease, including the scraper piston, clean into the cartridge, mess free.

Now ive seen them being refilled with a standard air powered grease gun sucking from a pail. Thats a lot cheaper than buying cartridges.
I know its 1" but i dont know the pitch. When i go to the hydraulic shop with a cartridge, i cant test them all untill i find one that fits because they dont want grease all over their shop
