My primary dislike of my B2620 is the fact that it's impossible to get truly smooth loader control due to the linkage that connects the joystick to the actual loader valves.

I've lubricated the linkage with seemingly every lubricant known to mankind, but the action always remains slightly sticky. Older loader designs with the valve assembly mounted up by the hood, and direct lever actuation, can be manipulated with extreme smoothness and accuracy. When I need to do fine work (for instance, loading something heavy and top heavy on a truck), it's excruciating to manipulate the loader control carefully enough. It'll always stick just the slightest amount and then due to the spring action of the long length of the loader control stick, jump a little.

Are there any suggested lubricants (or maybe a replacement linkage with sealed bearings, which should have been how it was manufactured to begin with) that'll give me back the old-school control I'm looking for?

Thanks...

I've never experienced this problem with my B2620 and have only lubricated the linkage once in the last 280hrs.
My loader operation is very smooth and I have no problem with fine control, have to checked the valve itself? I've read that some of the later units have issues with the lift spool getting damaged.from internal breakage.

Interestingly, my loader valve was replaced at about 80 hours under warranty when it started leaking. The felt behavior is identical between the old and new valves; the stickiness is definitely present in the linkage. I think the problem is associated with both the linkage design itself as well as the length of the loader control joystick. The backhoe controls have much simpler linkages and shorter control rods, and they operate very smoothly.
