A friend needed to borrow my table saw over the weekend. That's fine, but how do I load a 200# table saw in the back of my truck without a helper?

Lucy! to the rescue!

Attached photo shows how I overcame the problem of Lucy!'s bucket only having room for two of the table legs. A little creative chain work so that I could cantilever the saw out in front of the bucket. I used a couple of 6" clamps to secure the close legs to the top of the bucket, and a couple of smaller clamps to attach a chain (also to the top of the bucket). The chains ran ove the top of the saw to a 2x4 that was jammed into the back of the bucket (for leverage).

Above that, is a little staged pic showing me loading the saw into the truck.

Just pick it up and huck it in there. Sissy.

(Hmmmm... that sounded funny in my head -- hope you read it that way. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif)

Seriously, even with Lucy! and her loader, there's a lot of ways to approach that task. The one you've pictured here looks dandy to me.

How do you feel about someone named Lucy! having bigger biceps than you? /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Nice picts.

I was going to make similar comments as Harv./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif But like usual he has said it all better than I can.

My son wants to borrow my saw. Yours looks like the same model as mine. I'll print out the pictures and leave them next to the saw. Hopefully he won't take any short cuts. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

I've got that same saw as well --- right down to the cut burned into the belt guard!/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Bird, nice sentiment. But, I think the correct saying is: Where there's a will, there's relatives. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Keep the greasy side down.

I guess I deserve that after my comments on snakes. /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Darned snakes wouldn't help me either.... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

If I had those clamp-on forks, it would have been a lot easier.
