I wouldn't blame you for being disappointed. I understand that Mahindra recently became the world's largest tractor manufacturer. Perhaps rapid growth has led to quality control issues. Keep us updated. I recently sold a Mahindra 4500 and thinking about buying a 4 wheel drive model. However, if your experience is indicative of a broader problem, I might look elsewhere.

If you steer away from Mahindra because of this, then good luck finding any tractor that you won't be worrying about. EVERY manufacturer has a problem now and then. If you search these forums you will find owners with problems of every make that say that they would never own that particular brand again.

Good luck with your search.

I got my 3016 back from the dealer yesterday. they replaced the pinion gear and the propeller shaft. NO CHARGE. They also filled the rear tires as the national rep suggested.

I got a chance to try it out and Brian is right. I cannot believe the difference that the extra weight and traction makes. It digs and pulls better than I expected. Also smooths out the ride very well.

Now if I could only figure out a way to pull all the pecan and sweetgum stumps, I'd be in hog heaven.

What size are the stumps? That question might make an interesting new thread.
