Well I've been lurking here for awhile and want to thank all those who contribute to the board. It has help me decide on what type/brand/model tractor to get. I'll be sending my application in tonight for a new DK40 with KL 1470 FEL (quick attach option installed) 72" quick attach bucket, 72" box scraper, ballasted R-4's, a set of Long 48" forks, was going to get a 7' Curtis snowplow but ran me over budget so I opted to have just the hydraulics installed for now. Got about 2 acres of yard to level and 500' drainage ditch to clean out so when it gets here it'll get some work right away.

Congratulations on the new unit.
That is a nice setup you have coming.
I hope your DK 40 works out as well for you as the DK 35 has for me.

Congratulations on a good decision to go Kioti. I know you're going to be very impressed with the DK40. It's a good strong tractor that should last you a very long time. John

Thanks guys, I'll be sure and get some pics. Didn't here back from the dealer yet /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Maybe Tuesday. Hopefully it gets here before we start paying for all this nice weather we been having here. Be fun to test it out with a big dumping of snow /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. Vince, I grew up not to far from you, Clearfield. Right off of interstate 80. Left for the Navy in 84, I get back there to visit the folks throughout the year now that I am retired.

I do some snowmobiling out that way on occasion (old exit 18, Elliot State park).
Did some work on an Industrial park in Clearfield a few years back (old exit 19, exit 120 now I think).

Just curious as to what dealer you're buying from...one in Maryland?

I was going to get mine from Carver in NC, but had to cancel out due to some repairs to the house that come up a couple days ago. I'm still having trees from the hurricane that went thru here come down. They were weakened so bad that any amount wind sends them falling, this time I got one on the house. Not too bad but enough to eat up my down payment. So I'll start saving again and hopefully be able to get one soon.

Yeah kinda bites just got everything fixed on the place too. Only bad thing is that Kioti requires a down payment. I have a JD dealer 2 miles from here I may may go check them out. I know that they have a no down program right now. Dunno what I'll do for sure.

Well, after alot of consideraation and thought I went to the local JD dealer and got a decent deal on a used 4710. I guess the factors in my decision were the no down payment and the closeness of the JD dealer (3 Miles) versus 176 for the Kioti dealer. Thanks and I haven't ruled out converting to the Kioti in the future.
