LX178 Manual

Does anyone know where I can download a shop manual for a LX178. I had one but can't seem to locate it now.

Shop manual, meaning the service/tech manual and not the operators manual?

Go to Deere and you should be able to order either one.

Here is place to put in model no. for manuals. There are three choices for which serial number you have.

I could be wrong but I don't believe the actual LX shop manual is available from Deere. I paid around $80. for a used one on ebay a few years ago.

I have a manual that I got from JD because I bought a used mower and it had none. I think it was less than ten bucks.
I don't know how to scan it or photocopy it to post.

Hslogget, is this manual just for the 178, or does it cover several models i.e. LX188?

Hey do you still have service manual for John Deere LX178 would be very great full if you could send me link. I have intermittent safety switch issue. Some times mower will dye when letting clutch out. Thank you for help

I have a copy but unfortunately the computer it is saved in died 2 days ago. If I can bring it back to life I can send it, however it is not looking promising.

Thanks for the response....I think that I will just buy the cd. I am surprised that I cannot find a site to download the PDF (this is how I purchased manuals for two vehicles).

I think you can for newer models, just not for the older ones. And unfortunately, I could not bring my old computer back to life.
