Saw four Summit tractors at a nearby Runnings in Jamestown, NY. Looks like the LX85 loader has been revised. First two are updated design. Second two photos are original design.
I'm glad the Summit is now available locally. I will eventually pick up one from the Family Farm and Home in Clarion, PA.

I honestly like the old version better. The coupling being on the outside greatly increases the chance I am going be screw up and hit something lol.

@Summit Tractors Support I noticed this change as well. The tractor shown in GWT videos on YouTube has a rod with a grip on the end for a joystick. The tractors at Home Depot have a different looking joystick. I also noticed some tractors recently purchased by forum members have the old design.

@Summit Tractors Support Can you provide some clarity on what the difference is and why the design changed? Is this change for all TX25H models or are there different SKUs for different markets?

That joystick change might be a problem. There is a youtube video by Hank Hamilton entitled "Are SUMMIT TRACTORS GARBAGE?"

That shows that joystick apparently not as robust as it should. I was told by a Summit rep that Hank had broken the joystick by being too rough with it, and the rep had to fix it. A friend of mine and I looked at two examples here locally, and their joysticks did the same thing. And they were NOT rough handled at all. So there are two Summit tractors at the Home Depot in Tallahassee, FL that need to have their joysticks repaired as well, if that is the case. So how long will yours last if you buy one of these?

There was also a change to the front axles that put the hydraulic fittings underneath the cylinder that looks to me that they would be subject to damage easily if you take the tractor into the rough.

I was REALLY hot about buying one of these tractors, but the changes made compared to what the original youtube videos show really put the brakes on that idea. I even contacted Home Depot to get my credit limit raised so I could buy one immediately. FULL STOP!

IMHO, all of the changes I see made the tractor worse, rather than better. At least from my unbiased and uninformed eye, anyway. It appears the tractor became $500 more expensive and has been changed in ways not apparently consistent with increasing the price.

Again, all IMHO.

The look of the loader gives me Alo/Quicke vibes.

Don't like that they got rid of the steel lines on the loader.

I'm with some of the others here. The old design looks better.

I looked at the joystick on two here in Greenville SC and they did not have the issue seen in Hank Hamilton‘s video.
